New template for family law attorney...

Michael Von Blon is a Board Certified Family Law attorney here in Houston. He has a stellar reputation in the legal community but never considered the Internet a marketing opportunity. He had a website with Martindale-Hubble but it never produced any trackable results so he wasn't aware of Search Engine Optimization or relevant legal content and how it relates to a website.

After a letter explaining how FindLaw can help his practice and a brief meeting Michael decided to try out a premium template. As is the case with most of my clients, Michael wants to "try it out for a few months" and then decide if he would like to add products or move up to a custom design with more pages and content.

Employment Law in Houston

A longtime client of FindLaw, The Solomon Law Firm decided to add to their presence on FindLaw.com. After reviewing traffic reports from the webiste and evaluating how people are finding his firm on the Web, Lee Solomon gave me a call to add some products. Over the years the firm has seen their rankings on search engines improve but also recognize the importance of being on directories like FindLaw.com.

You can check out the site at http://www.thesolomonlawfirm.com/ or get to it through many of their links on FindLaw.com. They are located in numerous areas including the business section and employment areas.

Tools to measure rankings of websites

I came across two sites that help in checking the traffic rankings of websites.
The first is www.alexa.com. The site seems to be having issues right now but the blog is informative - http://awis.blogspot.com/.
The other is www.marketleap.com. An interesting tool is the Link Popularity Check. You can type in the URL of any website and see how many links the site has pointed to it; helpful for measuring the power and reach of a website.
